I do not accept insurance but I do offer superbills. A superbill is a detailed receipt that therapists provide to clients who pay out-of-pocket for sessions. Clients can then submit the superbill to their insurance company to request reimbursement for therapy services, depending on their out-of-network benefits. Not all insurance providers accept superbills so please check with your insurance company to see if they accept superbills.
Mental health counseling provides numerous benefits, including improved communication and interpersonal skills, greater self-acceptance and self-esteem, and the ability to change self-defeating behaviors and habits. It helps individuals express and manage emotions more effectively while offering relief from conditions like depression and anxiety. Counseling also enhances confidence, decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills, making it easier to manage stress and build healthier relationships. While the majority of people experience positive changes in the areas that brought them to counseling, the process can also bring new levels of awareness that may cause discomfort. Although outcomes cannot be guaranteed, a strong commitment to therapy greatly influences the progress and impact of the experience.
Feel free to contact me through the form on this site or by phone. We’ll start with a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your goals. From there, we can schedule a virtual session via Zoom or an in-person appointment at my Allen, TX office. Before our first session, I’ll send you a patient intake packet to complete.
Before our first session I will go over your intake forms. It is extremely important that you fill them out before we meet.
The first therapy session can feel nerve-wracking, but that’s completely normal. The main goal is for me to get to know you and for you to see if you feel comfortable working with me. Expect to discuss your background, relationships, career, and what brought you to therapy. During this session, I will facilitate a conversation about your goals, needs, and strengths, working with you to create a plan for finding relief, hope and happiness.
Before wrapping up, we will schedule your next appointment and may agree on some initial steps toward your goals.
The length of therapy depends on your individual needs, goals, and the issues you’re addressing. Some clients find progress in just a few sessions, especially for specific problems or short-term challenges. Others may require more time to work through deeper, more complex concerns.
Ultimately, your journey in therapy will be unique to you. Keeping an open dialogue with me will help tailor your treatment to your evolving needs, ensuring that you can assess progress and decide when you’ve reached your goals—or if additional support is needed for further growth. I promise to uphold the highest standards of integrity as I work with you to craft a personalized plan that moves you in the right direction as quickly and effectively as possible.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. We will work together to schedule another visit. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice—or missed entirely—will be charged the full session fee, except in emergency situations.
